The Memories We Make

By Jo Cavanaugh

I like to travel and I take lots of pictures. I also buy lots of postcards so I can supplement my photographs when I build my memory book of the trip. I look for the fun and unusual pictures and postcards to remind me of my adventures.

What do you do to Make Memories? Do you look for opportunities to find the joy and blessings in your daily life? Do you stop and take time to consciously note how you are feeling?

It's June and the year 2004 is almost half over. What memories do you have for the first half of the year? Take some time to document and remember your memories.

Life isn't just a journey, it's all of the rest stops along the way.

Words of Encouragement

I was listening to a teleclass today. The class was one and a half hours long and in the middle of the class they did a stretch. Take a moment while you are reading this on your computer and stop to stretch.

Sit tall in your chair and stretch. Tickle the clouds with your fingers as they said on the teleclass. It will make you giggle as you reach for the clouds.

Take a deep breath and feel your body energize as you inhale and then relax as you exhale and release the cares and worries of the day.

Write yourself a note and tape the note near the computer to remind yourself to tickle the clouds and breathe.

Book Award

Self Care Tip

One of my fond memories is when I would go out with my family and fly kites. I can drive to the beach and watch families fly kites near my home.

Find some activity that you can do with your family today. Enjoy an old fashioned ice cream sundae, fly a kit, or enjoy a movie or songfest.

There is no better time to make memories than now.
